How to be a good buyer

It's not all about scammers and lying sellers. There are many trustworthy sellers who get a hard time from deadbeat buyers - people who reserve ponies and never pay for them, who claim parcels never arrive and demand recompense. I reckon there are far more deadbeat buyers than dodgy sellers.

  • Keep the seller informed. Let them know who you are and where you are.

  • Ask as many questions as you can *before* the deal is struck or the bid is placed. This saves heartache later on.

  • Don't bid or hold items unless you can afford them. This is plain rude. If you let a seller down, don't expect them to sell to you again.

  • Pay promptly.

  • Let them know when your ponies arrive. Don't just leave them guessing.

  • Leave appropriate feedback either at the auction site or on a MLP trader feedback board.
