Pay in a trackable way
Though some sellers (especially outside the USA) take only cash payments,
if at all possible we would advise you to pay via PayPal, a check or cheque, credit
card or other trackable payment method.
If you send cash to a rogue seller, there's no hope of getting it back.
And if your cash gets lost in the post, you have no fallback.
If you send payment via a credit card, you have proof of a transaction,
and therefore proof of purchase. The seller cannot deny the transaction
took place, and they cannot deny they received the payment. Immediately,
your position is stronger and safer. If you paid via PayPal, you may have additional protection - check their terms and conditions for your country.
